Fashion Friday: Colorguard Uniforms

Band Camp starts tomorrow! Well, at least for the colorguard. Doing this whole guard thing for another year has gotten me into a creative mode. Here is my dream combination for a winterguard show.

It's a Romeo and Juliet show, to a very beautiful song that I'm obsessed with. What song? Well, if I told you that, you would have a full idea for a guard show. And I can't have that.

Anyways, here are some other cool colorguard uniforms.

Fashion Friday: Olympian Finality

Yes, the Olympics are going to be over! Unfortunately, I did not get to see enough. (Darn you house for not coming with cable!) But it has still been an amazing time.

One of the special things about this year's Olympics is that every nation that competed in London had to bring at least one female athlete. So for many countries, specifically Saudi Arabia, this was the first time they brought female athletes. Which is HUGE!!!! Also, for the first time, there are more women on Team USA than men. Way to go, girls!

Hopefully, the world will continue to learn that the welfare of women is a key factor in the success of the country. But as we women wait, here is a cute "Girl Power" Olympian outfit.

Remember, you have the power to make your dreams come true, whether it's being an Olympian or graduating college.

Fashion Friday: More Olympics!

Maybe it’s because of the Olympics, but I have been on a fitness streak this week. Smaller portions, no ice cream, physical activity: It’s a wonder. But this sudden urge to exercise could also be caused by my new awesome tennis shoes I got for $30. (And even better, my brother, the connoisseur of tennis shoes, was jealous. That’s gotta mean something.) Or it could be because Band Camp starts in two weeks and I’m seriously worried that I might die, since I’m so out of shape.

Whatever the reason, I’m exercising and it’s the Olympics. It’s been fun watching Phelps make history, Maroney’s fantastic vault, and Misty and Kerri Walsh (I’m excluding their new last names) volley for another gold medal. Team USA is awesome! Thus, here is my Team USA inspired running outfit to help me feel like an Olympian.

Fashion Friday: Olympics

Will this stay as Fashion Friday? Not sure.

But I'm SOOOOOOO excited!! Why, you ask? Well, let's just say that the Olympics are starting today!!

To me, the Olympics are almost like a religious experience, especially the Opening Ceremony. Every summer, I would watch the recording of the 2002 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony in Salt Lake City in my grandma's basement. Nerdy, right? Yeah, I'm a little obsessed with the Olympics.

So to celebrate, I created some cute Olympics and London themed outfits that will be presented throughout the Olympics.

The first is a homage to London's most recognizable symbols: the telephone booths and the double decker buses.

Next, is my interpretation of the goal of every Olympian, to win a gold medal. Oh, so sparkly!

Hope you enjoy these and have a good time watching the Opening Ceremonies! I know I will!
