A Childhood Dream

This is me.

Probably the cutest artistic ginger child you've ever seen, right?

Yeah, I know. I was pretty darn adorable.

Well about this time, I began to dream. I dreamed of seeing the world, and more specifically three places.

  1. London, England
  2. Paris, France
  3. China
But alas, my parents weren't all that fond of taking their young brood across the ocean, so I had to put my dreams on hiatus.

Years passed. I transformed from adorable small child to awkward teenager. But I still had my dreams.

In 2008, I made my first trip abroad to London, England with my family.

And to sum it up succinctly: it was awesome. I mean, look at how happy I am!

I had been bit by the travel bug.

My senior year I was blessed to meet Coralie, the French exchange student. We hit it off, having crazy adventures in New York and Los Angeles.

I graduated, she went back to France, but our friendship continued. The summer after my freshman year of college, I went to visit her and together we explored Paris!!!

So by 19, I had visited two of the three places I dreamed of visiting. Only one more to go!! I was determined to get myself to China. Last summer, I applied and was accepted to teach English in China. But alas, it was not my time. I needed to have another round of the BYU Colorguard (which was totally worth it!)

But my time has arrived. The Marriott School of Business has an exchange program with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. And I'm going.

That's right. I'm moving to Hong Kong. Which means I'm going to China!!!

So join me as I finish my childhood dream where East meets West!
