Macau- Hong Kong's Latino Neighbor

Macau needs a second chance.

Because my first impression of Macau wasn't all that great. Too many tourists. Too many casinos. No MTR. Rainy, hazy weather. Lack of sleep.

And I think Macau could be better. I mean, it's China with a Latino twist! On one side you have a dragon of good fortune show at the Wynn Macau and then you walk for 15 minutes and you end up in a bright European plaza. And everything's in Portuguese!! How cool is that?

And the food was delicious. Pork chop buns, Portuguese egg tarts, Turkish ice cream, bakeries with loads of free samples...it was a foodie's paradise.

And I saw what you have to see in Macau. I visited the Ruins of St. Paul's, I saw the Macau Tower, I walked around the Venetian (the world's largest casino).

But at the end of the day, I was underwhelmed.

Luckily, the next place I was going to had plenty of sunshine, adventure, and delicious food to make up for a sub-par day in Macau.
